Ski Technician

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated individuals, who love the outdoors to join our team for the upcoming season. We're expecting great snowfall and loads of business and fun!

Ski technicians are responsible for working with customers on a daily basis. Duties include assisting customers with their equipment, fitting skis/snowboards to customer's skill level, fitting boots, and adjusting bindings to correct tension settings. There is also some retail floor work required. The typical workday starts at 7:30am and includes some physical duties such as snow removal and moving equipment. Candidates should be customer service oriented with an open, friendly personality as we serve a diverse customer base.

Job Requirements

No experience necessary! We train all employees on the types of ski / snowboard equipment that we carry and they will receive national certification to set ski bindings. All applicants need to be positive, motivated people looking to work at either Taos Ski Valley or Ski Santa Fe locations. We employee people who have skied their entire life and people who have never been skiing. Applicants need to be flexible, willing to try new things, and able to work with a wide variety of customers.

Ski Shop Manager

Cottam's Ski Shops, Taos Ski Valley location, is seeking a highly motivated individual with enthusiasm and strong personal relationship skills for its high-energy ski and retail shop located on the slopes of Taos Ski Valley. The shop is in need of a self-starter who can motivate staff and put smiles on customer's faces.

Postion involves:

management of staff
weekly scheduling
cash handling
hands-on ski and boot sales
ski/snowboard rentals
selling of merchandise (ski gear, clothes, and accessories)

Job Requirements

Prior management experience required. Familiarity with state-of-the-art ski equipment and ski shop experience a plus! This position provides benefits and a competitive salary with a season-end bonus opportunity based on store profitability.
